Why Now is the Best Time to Stock Up on Team Sweaters

For most of the country (except Florida on some days!), we're deep in the thick of wintertime, but the good news is that spring is right around the corner. Besides warmer weather, it also means great sales on winter fashion as retailers purge old inventory and debut new merchandise for spring. Post-Super Bowl February is the best time to score cozy team sweaters, especially for football season, which you can put in storage until next fall. Keep a lookout for markdowns online and in store, so you can stock up on sweaters now and spend the money you save on game tickets later!

To prove my point, I bought this beautiful New York Giants sweater from Junk Food Clothing last January for 40% off — it was originally $40, but was discounted to $24. It's high quality, warm and has a cool, vintage feel, making it an incredible bargain for less than $25. Earlier during football season, it was full price, so it definitely pays to wait for sales. Side note: Check out my sweet boots! It's a shame I don't get to wear them more often living in Florida. They're so warm and comfortable!
