How to Wear a Team T-Shirt on Casual Friday

I believe Casual Fridays were gifted to women as the one day a week we can wear a team top to work and get away with it. I decided to test this theory using my trusty Orlando City v-neck t-shirt as the centerpiece of my Fri(yay) outfit. Now, I don't advocate wearing your old, shapeless, over-laundered team t-shirt with jeans and calling it a day. Instead, start with a fitted, sharp-looking tee and build on it with another classic piece like a cardigan, blazer or button-down blouse. Finish your look with a few bold accessories.

I was inspired by the Spring 2016 denim trend, so I chose to layer my team t-shirt with a jean button-down shirt, which I think contrasts really nicely against my white jean skirt. I also need to draw your attention to the jean canvas wedges I'm wearing — these won my heart because they're the sweetest twist on regular canvas sneakers. I also have them in black.
